TILE USES

Tiles can be used by installing them as part of a backsplash, framing your fireplace or as part of a decorative mural in your shower or bath.

Tiles can be hung by a nail or screw as a temporary decorative accent. Take a look at the slots carved in to the back of each tile!

They also make useful trivets, paperweights, coasters or spoon rests.
They are dishwasher safe too !

FOR INSTALLATION

Along with the larger hand carved tiles, Fawn also produces standard dimensions that will work with most commercially available sizes. There is no “standard” in what is produced commercially. We have chosen the following sizes;

1 7/8, 2”, 4”, 6”, 8 1/4”, 12 1/2”, 4” and 6” are the most common sizes available in commercial tile. This allows for you to choose our tiles as “accents” among those that are commercially available.

We chose 8 1/4” and 12 1/2” so that if you want to use 4” tiles in combination with these sizes (as borders around a larger tile) there will be room for 1/4” of grout between the 4” tiles.

We also produce plain “field”  tiles, should you choose to use Fawn’s tiles exclusively.
The field tiles can be made in any colour in the glaze palette.
